This is a new web page I'm working on. It's goal is simple. I want to report and chronicle incidents of abuse of transgendered individuals wherever they occur. What I need from people is for them to send me reports of such abuse with as much source material as they can provide. I prefer documented information. That includes news report, first hand accounts, etc. But if you do send me a first hand account, I'm going to want a way to contact you. That's pretty much it. If you've got information to contribute to this page, please e-mail me at:
Palmer was a reputed admirer of pre-op transsexuals who frequented one of Boston's two TS pick-up bars, the Playland. On Sunday evening, November 19, Palmer drove Chanel and her twin transsexual sister Gabrielle to their Chelsea apartment, staying for about 90 minutes to drink, and snort cocaine he had purchased near the Playland. Palmer apparently attempted to persuade the twins to participate in a three-way tryst. Only Chanel packed an overnight bag and went home with him. According to Gabrielle, Chanel did not regard Palmer as a trick, but as a potential relationship partner. This report was taken from http://www.tgforum.com/docs/tsmurder.html.Palmer's roommates stated he and Pickett spent 5 hours in Palmer's room, during which an argument broke out. The roommates knocked on the door, but were assured everything was all right. Shortly thereafter, the conflict escalated and Pickett was strangled to death.
Police publicly released this information to the local newspaper, the Falls City Journal. One week later, on Christmas Day 1993, Brandon was raped and assaulted at a Christmas party by two men, whom he identified to local police as Nissen and Lotter, despite the fact that they had threatened to kill him if he reported the incident to the police. The full text of this article is available. There is also a first hand account of the trial. Recently, a joke on Saturday Night Live about this case sparkd some controversy. You can read a press release about this incident. Click here for more articles. However, charges of rape and assault were not filed against Nissen and Lotter until after Brandon's slaying, despite the fact that his sister Tammy Brandon had called Richardson County sheriff Charles B. Laux four days before the slaying to ask why Lotter and Nissen had not been arrested when Brandon had identified them as his attackers.
