Living City

The Living City is an AD&D campaign played exclusively at conventions and game days, set in and around the port city of Ravens Bluff in the area of the Forgotten Realms known as The Vast. David Baker has done an impressive and extensive reference on the Vast, if you're interested in finding out more about it. Players develop their characters just as they would in a home campaign, although some things have administrative overhead to accommodate the more than 2,000 players.

For official rulings, you'll want to take a look at Cisco's LC Rules Page. Cisco Lopez-Fresquet is the official Rules Sage for the Living City campaign.

You can find the text for the infamous Sage Advice ruling on the Amulet of Life Protection used in Living City at http://www.tsr.com/Dragon/Backissues/Sage_Advice/217SageAdvice.txt. TSR has it well hidden, so you can find an additional copy mirrored here.

Module Reviews, Blurbs, Teasers and miscellaneous neat stuff

• Legion of the Silver Sheen RPGA Living City Reviews Like all reviews, these are a matter of opinion, and there haven't been any in a while.
• The Official RPGA Site has blurbs and play histories for many of the Living City modules. There is also (finally!) some official Living City material in the Ravens Bluff Town Square.
• CARP Living City Module Blurbs Brief descriptions of a variety of modules. In particular, where known, series are indicated.
• Twirp RPGA Module Blurbs These will at least give you some idea what a module might be about, to help you decide what to play. Updated frequently.
• Tim Bailey's LC Page Tim's done a lot of nice work on various character record forms in PDF format.

Every city needs a way to let people know what's going on. In Ravens Bluff you have the official paper, The Ravens Bluff Trumpeter. Additional information can be obtained from Raven's Mavens, a gossip column. Clan Shado also keeps track of the activities of its members. If you're headed to Procampur, you'll want to have a look at the The Procampur Shining Jewel, the newspaper for the Procampur campaign.

  An order that strives to serve the cause of true love.

  The Founding Members named the Order after its chief benefactor in the city, the lovely Lady Amber Lynn Thoden. Lady Amber is the new Lord Mayor of Ravens Bluff, and is dedicated to rebuilding the city after the devastating war with Warlord Myrkyssa Jelan.
• Knights of the Spear
  Sponsored by Lord Semmitsaul Silverspear. All candidates for this order must be Elven and least 6th level in their chosen profession with a minimum 11 int, and a 12 chr. Also a candidate must be totally ruthless in carrying out their duties. To become a Spear a candidate must prove themselves to Lord Silverspear and be asked to join, by either Lord Silverspear or the Commander of the Spear Sir Silvermask
