Even funnier, there's something like eight writers who worked on the script. Sheesh. <> Wasn't that "Wookiee Planet C" ? <> If you are REALLY lucky, it will still have 1978 commercials included with it. Our office copy has an add for a toy robot named "TOBOR." It was small, vaguely humanoid, made of black plastic and had bad decals plastered all over it. There was a small "clicker" device that came with ol' Tobor, and it activated this little sound switch inside the toy. The sound switch toggled between "spin around" mode and "straight line" mode. You clicked to make TOBOR spin, and clicked again when he was facing the direction you wanted him to go. He also had these really, well, silly claws that could pick up a couple of plastic blocks that were included. The sales pitch for this AMAZING toy was: "TOBOR: It's 'robot' spelled backwards." The really sad part of this whole story is that I still own a TOBOR. :/ And to keep this on topic... TOBOR Type: Industrial Automaton TOBOR class drone DEXTERITY 1D Walking in a straight line 3D, spinning around in a circle 8D KNOWLEDGE 0D MECHANICAL 1D Picking up a plastic block 3D* PERCEPTION 0D STRENGTH 0D TECHNICAL 0D Special Abilities: Walking in a straight line: TOBOR can, well, walk in a straight line, but only on smooth surfaces. If the terrain is rough (or if there's a light shower within 50 miles), TOBOR spins his wheels like a moron. Spinning in a circle: TOBOR can...ah, never mind. *Picking up a plastic block: TOBOR can pick up (gasp) A PLASTIC BLOCK. But not just any plastic block...no, TOBOR must pick up the special plastic block that comes in the box with him. The plastic box serves no useful purpose, but TOBOR can pick it up like the dickens. Equipped With: * Plastic block * Clicker device * Acoustic toggle switch (works with clicker device; toggles between "spinning in a circle" and "straight line" mode) Move: 2 Jeez... I am SO glad the 1970's are OVER! Eric ("I'll surrender my TOBOR when they pry it from my cold, dead fingers")Trautmann
