These templates were for a planned players-as-Imperials adventure which was to be a cross between Star Wars and Paranoia. I don't have normal stats for them. I had decided they should be 2D lower than a normal character, and whenever they got promoted, they could add a pip until they got some strong attributes. If any wants these reduced attributes, let me know. For your edification here they are: Political Hack Motivation: Power The New Order changed your life. When you were younger, you were lost. You felt alienated. Your parents and their lifestyle was repugnant to you. Then the times changed. A New Order entered the galaxy to provide hope for a luminous and purified future. Eyes brimming with youthful idealism, you joined the New Order Youth. Rising quickly through the ranks, your innate brillaince and adept politicking swept aside all obstacles to your steady accumulation of power. You are completely loyal to the New Order-- or at least to the Emporer and Vader. The others-- pompous admirals and deranged generals-- are mere political hacks- they do not appreciate the bueaty of the New Order. You have to purge them and place those you know to be loyal into their jobs. Relations with other characters.: the other characters might have the skills you need. You may be able to use them- even if just as bantha fodder. Quote: "All you have to do is charge the rebel gun emplacement. It's that simple. And this is a DIRECT order." ------Old Republic Hanger On Motivation: Job Security You were around during the Republic, and you are still around. You're not going to let those New Order zealots push you around. But you saw what happened to your freinds and cohorts. They were good officers: better than you are: but they didn't learn the fundamental military truth: follow orders. Relations with other characters: Any one of them might be a spy for the Bureau for Political Idealogy. They could secretly be Rebels. They might be the Emporer himself for all you care. Keep your nose clean and watch your rear end. Quote: "I know nothing, nothing!" ----Evil Tech Motivation: Sadistic Torture You enjoy reprogramming other people's brains. The new surgical techniques developed by special Compnor scientists has enabled the New Order to revel in the ultimate power to control unruly beings-- mind control. Pity it's so very difficult to accomplish without side effects: like acute schizoid paranoia. Whenever possible, you try to get permission to play with the minds of convicted criminals. You are also fond of drugs- not taking them, at least not too often, but introducing them into other people. Relations with other characters: They're people. You don't like to talk to people- not until they've been fixed. Droids and robots are easier to deal with. If they make you go on a mission with them to take apart security systems and reprogram droids, well, that's okay, except for the danger part. The fun part is getting ahold of some prisoners. Quote: "Now, this won't hurt a bit" -----Smooth Operator Motivation: Greed You need to aquire a million credits so that you can buy a patent of nobility and marry into some real money. For a penniless person like yourself, the Imperial service provides plenty of opportunities for pocket filling. Bribery, corruption, operating the Imperial Bureacracy (for a small consideration), even theft. Relations with other characters: You try to stay on their good side, if you can find it, or they will turn you in for something you did. Quote: "That mistake will cost you. About 10,000 credits." ----Elite Pilot Motivation: A Dark Honor You went to the academy and became a member of the elite guardians of law and order: the Imperial Navy. Because of a ruckus regarding the daughter of an Admiral, you are now on detached duty, serving the Empire amongst the noxious scum of the galaxy. Few pilots get to see the teeming underside of so many different worlds. The purity and glory of space combat has to wait. Well, hell, as long as you are here, a little flesh and other putrid temptation is not going to sway you away from your sacred duty. And you can always develop some skills and contacts that can help you gain command of your own starship. Relations with other characters: You don't trust them. The only people you trust are other pilots. Quote: "Eat hot blaster fire, noxious dirtside jerk!" -----Cyber Warrior Motivation: Destruction You were raised in a creche warlike, obedient future soldiers and indoctrinated early in your life to be an elite member of the Imperial Stormtroopers. When you scored higher than average on mental alertness tests, you were singled out to become a special operative: a cyber-warrior. Now your body is being modified to be the ultimate killing machine. Those rebels had better watch out! Relations with other characters: You obey the orders of your commander. If captured, you give name, rank, and serial number. You will not attack members of the Imperial Armed forces unless given a code seven override order by a higher ranking officer than the target and yourself. Quote: "Die, rebel scum!" ----- Secret Jedi Motivation: Pure Evil The Dark Side beckons-- and points a way towards the gratification of all desires. But for now you must be secret and hide your power. Any Jedi act, if revealed, will attract the attention of the Special Political Branch-- and this will mean a quick interview with the Emporer, and death. He will absorb your force power and add it to his own. You must become strong enough to overcome Darth Vader and the Emporer and rule the Empire yourself. Relations with other characters: You know that these forceless idiots could not think their way out of a tin can. Quote: "Do not underestimate the power of the dark side."
