Game Notes: This gun has a very special design, It is possible to change
between Blaster or Laser mode, which gives it some advantages compared to
normal guns. In Blaster mode, the gun has a higher damage but this comes
at the expense of range while the opposite is true when used in Laser mode.

This system is known by the acronymn BOLORS, which stands for Blaster Or
Laser, Optical Range Sensors.

The BOLORS m/36 is a very austere anti-air artillery gun; the traverse
of the gun must be made manually by two gunners who are responsible for
pointing the gun in either the horizontal or vertical plane. The two
others are loaders, responsible for inserting power cartridges containing
energy enough for 10 shots into the gun fast enough to keep the gun going.

Although this gun is considered to be a relic, it is highly effective at
close quarters where its lack of any electronic fire control is of less
matter than a high fire rate. Sighting is done by a plain old ring and
bead system but it is possible to add a simple IR or low-light sight.


The m/48 can be used manually as the previous m/36 but the main improvement
was the addition of remote control, electronic fire control and a larger
ammo supply which made it a lethal weapon for a very modest cost.

In this modus of operation, the gun only needs three crewmembers; one gunner
and two loaders, but it is also possible to add a separate power generator
which gives a unlimited ammo supply, removing the need for any loaders.

The main drawback was the increased weight and sophistication which made
it somewhat less mobile and more suspectible to damage.


This gun has been built in more numbers than any other anti-air artillery
gun and is still in widespread service.
