It has three firing modes: one-shot, two-shot, and three-shot. The weapon's recoil catches up with you on three-shot mode, but this is compensated for with heavily increased damage. Each pull of the trigger releases the number of shots indicated by the firing mode. The Pulse Rifle holds either two standard power packs at once (if only one standard pack is loaded, the Ammo is 30) or one cluster power pack. Cluster packs were designed by Kuat to speed reloading times, but are very hungry of power. The rifle will not fire with a cluster pack on unless it is in three-shot mode, effectively reducing the number of available shots to 20. Game Notes: Increase all medium and long range shot difficulties by +6 when on three-shot mode to simulate the heavy recoil. The rifle comes with a standard scope and stock mounting (adds +1D to firer skill total). One cannot "spray" an area with this weapon, as is possible with repeating blasters (see Mike Soulier's house rules on the FTP site for spray fire), because the gun can't fire on full auto. Designer's Notes: This weapon is available through Gallidinium's Fantastic Technology Datalog, if your players have access to that. If not, good luck finding one. They are almost as rare as lightsabers. Oh, and by the way, I am going to use this weapon as an attachment to some armor that I made up. So, if you like the armor, keep the stats for this weapon to go with it.
