Also included is the time required for the nav computer to make the appropriate calculations. NAME & EMAIL: Scott Sutherland RULES EDITION: 2nd edition Astrogation Difficulty Difficulty Number Duration* Duration of computations** Very Easy 5 less than 12 hours 1D /2 rounds Easy 10 12 to 24 hours 1D rounds Moderate 15 1 to 5 days 1D x2 rounds Difficult 20 5 to 10 days 1D minutes Very Difficult 25 10 to 20 days 2D minutes Heroic 31 20+ days 3D minutes * to account for random modifiers, roll 2 different colored dice, setting one to have negative values and one to have positive values. Add the dice together, and add this to the difficulty number. eg: I set my red die to be positive and white to be negative. I roll them and get 5 on the red die and 2 on the white die. add together 5 + (-2) = 3 which I add to the difficulty. This method should work for setting difficulty numbers for all types of rolls. **for every "level" the roll is beaten by, reduce the time by one level. eg: for a 16 hour journey, difficulty is Easy(8). PC rolls 17 (Difficult) on Astrogation, thus has beaten roll by 2 difficulty levels. Therefore duration is reduced from 1D rounds to 1D/2 rounds(minimum). If roll fails by 10+, ship does not enter hyperspace. If fails by 1-9, roll 2D and consult astrogation mishap table. See if this works. I too am trying to get star maps, but I haven't found anything good yet. Any suggestions? Scott
