Auto Fire Rules : Repeating blasters and some other weapons can fire in full-auto mode and this is a rule to handle the effects of this. Use the combined action rules to get modifiers for the hit and damage rolls, then reduce this modifiers by 1D for every meter covered by the burst. The damage can't be reduced under the basic damage. Ex. Light Rep. Blaster with 6D normal damage fires a 10 shot burst covering a 5m area the combined action rule says +4D hit and damage modifier the 5m area reduces this modifiers with 5D giving -1D to hit and +-0D to damage. Full ex. Tirog fires his LRB at a door where STs are pouring through, the door is 3m wide so Tirog fires at maximum rate (10 shots) at a 3m wide area. Tirogs blaster skill is 5D so the total to hit roll is 5D+4D-3D = 6D for every target in the area, if a ST gets hit the damage roll is 7D (6D+4D-3D). Some things to remember: Only the closest targets in the area gets hit, the others are covered. Most repeating blasters has a maximum fire-rate of 8-15 shots per second. If someone wants to continue to fire more shots it counts as an action ! You cannot aim when using the auto-fire mode ! Auto-fire uses up ammo at hi-rate so keep record of shots fired !
