The "Twin" and "Quad" packages weigh less but cost more than the heavy versions. Remember to check those legality charts! Weapon permits for vessels in most systems are %30 of the purchase price. Weapon linkage costs around 100 credits per weapon, and the weapons must be the same. If fired remotely, linking reduces the control dice by one (although advanced firing control computers will remove that penalty). Linking two or three similar weapons adds 1 dice to the base damage, linking four weapons adds 2 dice to the base damage (this is per the Combined Action rule from page 69, not the Galaxy Guide 6 rule). Weapons may also be linked with a secondary firing station, at 100 credits per station (but see mishap charts for this modification) Keep in mind that character points can also be spent to improve weapons or other parts of a starship, so not all fire control and damage codes will match the chart above. -- An X-Wing (with 4 linked LC) may fire one (3d/4d), two (3d/5d), or all four (3d/6d). Each weapon may only fire once per combat round, so the pilot firing groups of two may have two different targets, while the player firing all 4 must fire at the same target. -- The Millenium Falcon has two quad-laser cannons. Each may be fired separately (3d/6d) or they may be fired linked from the cockpit (2d/7d). The Falcon's Light Laser Cannon is primarily used as an anti-personnel weapon. __o --Thom `\<, (thomd@atm.com) (*)/ (*)
