Imperial City.. Corescant.. ------------------------------------------ Volume II Number 18-a TRAVESTY vs. TRAGEDY -the destruction of Alderaan & the Death Star- In good faith, as a journalist I couldnot sway to one side in the great debate of the destructions of two colonies, one a peaceful world of the core & the other the Galactic Empire's greatest triumph- a space station the size of a moon that has been dubbed the "Death Star". This begins a mini-series of posts I will prepare a little out of standard Cross-Sector style, these articles *WILL* be biased toward the views of the two parties involved: the survivers of the Old Republic that struggle to usurp the Galactic Empire & that strong tradition that the Old Republic blossomed into under its former president, then self proclaimed Emperor... Palpatine. Please understand these articles are NOT the expressed views of the Cross-Sector or its supporters. The Cross-Sector holds to its original statement: "We're anti-Empire, we're anti-Republic we're anti-everybody!" Please enjoy this retrospect in the fashion it was ment, a tribute to each life lost & a boon for the future of the galaxy... "...time will tell & so will we... This has been Arriot Fuches reporting for the Cross/Sector..." ______________________________________________________________________ "Banned by the Empire & loving every minute of it!!" ********************************************************************** ______________________________________________________________________ GM Scoop... Campaign Timeline: 7.0 - 10.4 ASW4 (seven to ten yrs after ANH) Campaign InBrief: Rebel/Smugglers based on the DarkStryder Campaign Boxed set in the OuterRims. About the Article: Josh asked me if I would write posts on the destruction of Alderaan & then the destruction of the 1st Death Star in both Imperial/Alliance views. Since my campaign is set 10 years after the tragic turning points & he needs them for a campaign set during the time, I thought I would have Arry write sort of retrospect articles with no definate time period in the writing so anyone could use them. It seems kind of appropriate for my time period to have these resurface in HoloNews since it is the 10th year aniversery & the Empire has just reclaimed 75% of the known galaxy. I figured the Cross-Sector would reprint these to remind people, soooo... thanks for the idea Josh. This series will be numbered 18-a thru 18-e then I will continue with article post issue 19. BTW- I haven't forgotten the idea to write a Wookiee bigotry post, it'll come. If you have questions or suggestions mail me. -kevin- Modern technology owes ecology an apology.
