-PRESS RELEASE-

  It's not everyday that this reporter receives visitors at home,
especially at 4 A.M.  Unfortunately, this past evening was one of those
times.  The Gentlemen that came to see me were quite pleasant, though
rather agitated.  Since it wasn't me they were displeased with, I
listened to what they had to say.  I'm pleased to be able to bring you
this story.

  The leader of this group was a man called Herlon Neft, PR Officer for
Korval Industries.  Apparently, the CEO, Gal Tribett, had seen a pirate
advertisement for their latest line of droids.  This statement reflects
their current position on the release.

  "The individuals responsible for this violation of Corporation policy
have been reprimanded.  Not only was that release a breech of etiquette,
but it totally blasted the Corporation's hard built image.
  "We only hope that this incident won't damage the relationship that
the Corporation has established with the New Republic, and certainly
don't want it to interfere with the negotiations over the JN-series
Scout Companions.
  "As it has been 30 years since the Korval Corporation released any
previous droid models, namely the SK-series Valet, it was difficult
enough to convince the Council to approve these latest projects.  Our
engineering staff is working with my PR agents to provide an authentic
press release bulletin, which we hope to have hit the air waves within
the next week."

  According to Mr. Neft, the chief of security, one Harcourt Poon, has
been permanently relieved of all responsibilities with forfeiture of all
severance benefits.

  As for the "upgrade" offer, they insist that the only upgrade
currently being offered is in the Gotal species model.  Chief Engineer
Morf Kravvon stated "The sensors are getting 'fuzzy' pictures, not
clearly discerning between the full range of emotions.  We're working on
it."

  About the Article: As I stated before the article, this wasn't a
flame, just a retraction.  Korval Industries, many times referred to as
the Korval Corporation, is a little more low key than that classified
implied.  I have many notes regarding the Corporation, which I will
gather and try to post soon.  I don't mind people using the Corporation
for their posts, so long as they keep to the Corporation's image.
