        The latest word from the Phy'Rel Law Counsil is that Moff
    Kroliin has approved the "Criminal Leniency Act" which redefines
    which criminals are elligible to be sentenced to the Koros
    Facility, a penal mining prison on Athasia's sole moon, Dythania.
        According to the Act, only those criminal's convicted of at
    least three accounts of first degree murder, rape, and/or one
    account of high treason may be sentenced to the facility, owned
    by Koros Industrial.  All except those convicted for treason
    may still choose public execution by firing squad as an
    alternative punishment.
        The act also opens up the execution alternative to non-
    human convicts.  For the first time since Emperor Palpatine's
    New Order, Phy'Rel law will be applied equally to humans and
    non-humans.

  Campaign InBrief: Fires of Phy'Rel PBeM Campaign
    About the Article: This is would be old news to the PCs of my PBeM
    campaign, but it could be important to some of them since at least
    one would be elligable to be sentenced to the Koros Facility.
    To the religion of the Phy'Rel system, the planet Athasia is the
    theological equivelent to Hell.  It's the innermost planet
    orbiting the MIII class star, and though it's among the most
    mineral and ore rich planets in the sector no one wants anything
    to do with it.
    It's moon, Dythania, is a smaller version of the planet it orbits.
    Some Phy'Rellian theologian would equate it to Purgatory.  Koros
    Industrial has a mining facility there operated solely by droids
    and convicted criminals.  Serving a year in the Koros Facility
    is the legal equivelent to ten years in a standard prison facility.
    However, many would choose life imprisonment or execution to
    spending a single year in the facility...which is why only the
    worst criminals are sent there.
    As a side note, Moff Kroliin is not typically lenient towards
    alien species, but been slowly been developing a more generous
    attitude towards non-humans since the destruction of the first
    Death Star.  There are many speculations as to why, but no one
    knows for sure.
