News Flash: The Lorrd system has been liberated!

Despite the Republic's cries of being able to watch the whole galaxy, the
galaxy is a big place, and sometime's things slip by.  For nigh around
three centuries now, the people of the planet Lorrd, in the Kanz Sector,
have been held under the vilest slavery by the Argazdans.  Forced to
preform the basest tasks and hard labour, the Lorrdians were further
humiliated by being forbidden by their masters to communicate with each
other.  It was not until 6 months ago that the Human Jedi Knight Kitra
Portin, and her partner, Tynnan Jedi Knight Sholomin, discovered the
plight of these peoples.  On a routine tour to find Jedi recruits, the
two Jedi stumbled upon the planet Lorrd, and discovered the atrocities
commited there.  With a judicial use of deception, that by the way the
two Jedi are being chided (however lightly) on now, the two were able to
infiltrate both an Argazdan stronghold and a Lorrdian slave labour camp.
While Kitra caused dissension among the Argazdans, Sholomin incited the
Lorrdians to riot.  Despite the fact that the Lorrdians had effectively
lost all form of communication, besides a "kinetic communication" of
facial tics, hand gestures, body postures, and expressions they had
developed originally as a guerilla fighting tactic, but evolved into a
full language, Sholomin was able to contact the Lorrdians through
Telepathy and convey tactics.  Within 3 months Kitra and Sholomin had
caused the complete downfall of the Argazdans on Lorrd and liberated the
people of Lorrd.  The Argazdan empire is far from finished though, and
there are more peoples to be rescued from their hellish slavery.  Two
days ago Kitra and Sholomin arrived back on Ossus calling for a meeting
of Jedi to fight these slavers.  The meeting happens at noon today in the
main square of Nikos City, Kitra is rumored to be calling for volunteers
for an all-out attack on the Argazdan empire.  I am sure everyone on
Ossus is overjoyed at the thought of a recued people, but let us not
forget the ultimate sacrifice made by over 500 million Lorrdians under
Argazdan rule.
        On a lighter note, Kitra and Sholomin's original mission of Jedi
recruiting was not a total loss, it is said that they have brought back a
Lorrdian student by the name of Janus-and-Harg Craytus-Maakos of Lorrd.
Maakos of Lorrd, we wish you the best in training, and may the Force be
with you.

GM Scoop...
  Campaign Timeline: 154.5.17  3625 BSW4 (this is a ToTJ-era campaign,
with the year reflecting the way my Jedi keep time.  They have eras
begining and ending with the institution of a new Jedi Spokesbeing.)

About the Article: I used the tiny section called "The Kanz Disorders" in
the Han Solo and the Corporate Sector SB to start this campaign.  The
adventure I used was to let my two players get a feel for the ToTJ era,
and allow them to learn how to play Jedi.  I have a new player coming in,
hence the need for Maakos of Lorrd.  Maakos will be undergoing tests of
the Jedi (he has trained some with Kitra and Sholomin), but his first
main one will be assisting in the downfall of the Argazdan empire, the
focus of the test being whether he can overcome his anger towards the
Argazdans to be a true Jedi.  I may help him along by giving him an
Argazdan love-interest.
