PHENOMINON
As reported in previous issues a energy pheonominon dubbed "the Natth
Ribbon" had been reported moving through the Charis System
(destroying three independent Strike-class vessels of the DeMongg
Syndicate) at a sub-light speed before jumping into Hyperspace in an
unknown direction.  The Natth Ribbon has again been reported
enetering the Gandle Ott System only hours ago.  Scientist say the
ribbon will safely pass the old capital of the sector on its present
course.  Citizens of Gandle Ott (currently under Imperial Marial Law)
were not available for comment.
Little is know of the Natth, save that all in contact with the
unknown energy ribbon has apparently been disitigrated as it moved
across the object.  The ribbon was reported in a triangle form of
roughly 50-100 meters in size as it travelled past the NR vessel
Calydiscope, although current reading list it at over 200 meters in
size.
Wing Captain Cobb Unsur of Calydiscope X-wing division commented:
"A rip, it looked like a triagular rip across the stars. I thought it
was beautiful didn't you Emtee? (motioning to his R2 unit) I'm not
sure if its a classified matter yet but I will tell ya it didn't move
like any natural phenominon, in my humble opinion... It almost
steered into the space lanes across those ships, may the force be
with them..."
Our estimates have the Natth exiting the GandleOtt system in
approximately 31hrs. Scientists calculate it to have originated within
112 parsects of the Aaris System based on its speed & current size.
Is this a "natural phenominon" & if so will there be attempts to
harness its raw destructive power? Time will tell.

the GM scoop:
My campaign is loosely based on the info presented in the DarkStryder
Campaign, set 8+ years after the destruction of the first death star.
The Natth Ribbon is an energy ribbon created from the merging/fusion
of three force adept minds with the aid of an ancient Sith/Aarissith
artifact uncovered on the planet Aaris III in the Aaris System. The
fusion happened during a strange ritual & is a product of darkside
energies. It is currently under no control other than its own. It has
not been decided if it will be a sort of sentient or if it is linked
to the result of the fusion of three minds- Trie Ad of DarkLegion. It
will grow larger drawing energy from the evil vial scum & villiany of
the galaxy...  How do you stop it? I don't know yet...  (evil grin)
The PCs saw it pass through the Charis System as they were aboard the
Calydiscope a NR Nebulon B frigate.
