After the many kidnappings, random assaults, and lost ships of the last month, things were escalated this week as yet another ship was lost to outlaws. This time "The Glittering Gundark" was attacked and looted. Thirteen passengers were hurt, and 8 crew members were killed. The Authorities believe that there would have been moreinjuries if it had not been for the quick action of the CSA Fleet that showed up to stop the attack. Two of the three pirate craft were destroyed, but there were no survivors. The remaining ship fled from the CSA Marauder Corvette Resilient. The official word from CSA Cheif John Hambilton is that "these outlaws are living on borrowed time. Already a plan of action is being pursued to capture these crooks." While not forthcoming with much information, it is known that the main suspect is a so called Free Trader's Fleet that until recently was a group of legitimate spacers. The Free Traders deny any involvement and would not comment on this situation or the investigation. This is the third such incident this month. Although the situation appears to be related to the loss of the "Golden Goose" and the "Spice Mistress", there are no solid connections yet discovered. This has been Owen Gray reporting for the Star... ______________________________________________________________________ ********************************************************************** -- ------------------------------------------------------------------ _______ ______ ______ (_______)(_____ \ (____ \ Woodson Savage _____ _____) ) ____) ) 37171 Georgia Tech Station | ___) | __ / | __ ( Atlanta, GA 30332 | | | | \ \ | |__) ) mailto://gt7171a@prism.gatech.edu |_| |_| |_||______/ http://www.prism.gatech.edu/~gt7171a ------------------------------------------------------------------ (((((This .sig file in Stereo where available)))))
