Earlier today most members of the notorious pirate organization “The Crimson Blade" were captured or killed by Imperial Forces in a series of fierce battles both over and on the planet “Fannisph” The Crimson Blade had been responsible for several attacks on local shipping over the last few months. Most recently they were responsible for the raid and subsequent destruction of the liner ship the ‘Gold Princess’ with the loss of all 112 lives on board. During the several pitched battles, the Empire deployed several flights of TIE fighters, a company of Walkers and numerous ground troops (including two contingents of Storm troopers). The Star Destroyer “Graveyard” was lightly damaged in the battle. Commander Gotstone of the Imperial Fleet was quoted as saying that “..whilst (our) losses were high, we achieved a satisfactory result. Pirates who continue to hamper Imperial Citizens will be dealt with in a similar matter, no price is too high to guarantee the safety of the Emperors loyal subjects” Several prisoners were captured and they will be held for trail latter this month. Unofficial sources close to the Justice system have commented that they expect the death penalty to be handed down. Any lifeform who has any information that may be of any bearing on the case or wishes to claim for any damages brought about by these pirates should contact the local constabulary. This has been Bruno Hostnik reporting ------------------------------------------------------------------------- GM Scoop : “The Crimson Blade” were a local pirate organization that had been hampering both Imperial and Rebel shipping in the sector for almost 12 months. The leader of the Blades was becoming more and more violent so the PC’s were sent on a ‘search and stop’ mission. They almost succeeded and had _almost_ managed to split the pirates down the middle and were organizing to overthrow the leader. The PC’s had attracted the attention of the Imperials who arrived at the worst possible moment (don’t they always..) and systematically set about wiping the pirates (and the players) out. Only through some very fancy flying, repulsor operation and lucky shots did the PCs manage to escape with their lives. The PC’s feel guilty about what has happened to several members of the Blades (they weren’t all bad) and thus may try and mount a rescue mission on the survivors (I hope)... ------------------------------------------------------- Paul Clyne aka: pacman / pac at work : pclyne@wetherlpk1.csr.com.au at play : pacman@mpx.com.au The future is in our hands.
