The Yelpir's Beleive it or Not, has circled the Galaxy as a strange & somewhat disturbing collection of beasts & beings, living & sinthetic lifeforms for nearly 200 years. Gal'Oddities (short for Galactic Oddities) is comprised of a small flight of 4 vessels (5 including the old Yelpir, which was kept for the nastalgic) & helmed by one who claims to be a decendant of Wallass Yelper himself; WY Bar'Num the 3rd. Of the 4 ships only one is accesabile to the public, "the Nessie" is a decomissioned Imperial StarGalleon purchased & modified for large audience viewing halls, zoo-like facilities & a huge circus auditorium. The others (2 YT-freighter & an old Corellian Corvette- the Sasquatch, the Yetti & Kong -respectively) are apparently "wrangling boats" as coined by Yelper himself. The fortune left by the Yelper legacy funded the creation of this exotic traveling circus, with the volunteer of some of the galaxy's Oddity enthusiasts to crew the ships, participate in all shows & take up permanent residency on their ships. Contracted by worlds to arrive in system & entertain Gal'Oddities is said to have some of the most exciting & entertaining shows in the galaxy. Yelper had this to add: "Hello little lady, & a big Gally-Ally'Oddity hello to all you little Bantha-Pokes out there. Listen close & tell yer mommas & poppas to ask for the BIG Nessie, I'm sure with a little persuadin' me an the boys'll be headin your way... But first let me give ya a little peep at what's to come. Me & the boy'll be takein the next few weeks to travel the DANGEROUS Lokarian Asteroid Belt in search of the mythical Mine Horror, that's right the scurge of your nightmares & if you can keep it under yer hat I'll let you in on a tiny rumor. We hear-tell that MH ain't the only big o'l varmit in the belt. It's just a tale tail but we might be bringing back a ... That's right you'll just have to wait & see, but let me tell you this- it's the biggest dern worm you'll ever gander... So ask fer us by name Gal'Oddities, that's Gal'Oddities. Hypersignal WY@Gal'Oddities.Nessie" Wow! You heard it first, brand new exotic oddities of the Galaxy. I'm sure we'll continue to cover this new traveling circus. Will it be a Galactic bust, a Universal hoax, or a genuine bonanza?? We'll keep you informed. This has been Arriot Fuches reporting for the Cross/Sector... ______________________________________________________________________ "Banned by the Empire & loving every minute of it!!" ********************************************************************** ______________________________________________________________________ GM Scoop... Campaign Timeline: 7.0 - 10.3 ASW4 Campaign InBrief: Rebel/Smugglers based on the DarkStryder Campaign Boxed set. About the Article: I took an asteroid field from my campaign that had 3 Mine Horors feeding on the belt when my PCs passed through, they were almost destroyed- But in true Jurassic Park style the Horrors closed in for the kill when a 700 meter space slug chomped down on the Horrors... I thought it might be neat to make up a traveling circus in the style of PT Barnum & Ripley's beleive it or not, to collect these mythical type things. Although they don't know what their getting into with the size of the slug... I am thinking the 3 wrangler ships are heavily equipped to capture creatures (tractor beams...etc) but I haven't made stats. Mail me with questions. -kevin- Modern technology owes ecology an apology.
