Brawler: Dex 4D Blaster (?: depends on personality. Probably not) Brawling Parry Dodge Melee Combat Melee Parry Running Thrown Weapons Kno 2D Alien Species Intimidation Languages Survival Willpower Mech 2D Beast Riding Communications Sensors Per 3D Bargain Command Con Hide Persuasion Search Sneak Str 4D Brawling Climbing/Jumping Lifting Stamina Swimming Tec 3D Armor Repair First Aid Melee Weapon Repair Move: 10 etc. For a more martial-arts style character, I recommend Equipment: Assorted throwing knives (STR+1D), staff/stick of some sort (STR+1D+1 for clubbing action), sword (STR+2D due to quality) The idea behind this character is that he/she is much more comfortable with an out and out physical brawl than the more normal blaster combat. Now, to make it so that this character will *not* get blasted immediately upon entering combat by some ST with a blaster, the following rules are really necessary... 1) Firing of a blaster or other projectile weapon in close range (I define this as being < 2 meters) is a Very Difficult to Heroic task, and can be very easily parried using either Melee Parry or Brawling Parry (I figure a +10 roll to the parry). This is so that ST doesn't blow you away with a Very Easy shot. 2) Firing of a blaster into a melee at a specific target is very difficult; because of the moving occuring naturally in melee combat, the incoming blaster bolt or projectile has an even chance of hitting *anyone* within 2 meters of the intended target. This means if I'm surrounded by 8 STs and I'm brawling with them, there's only a 1/9 chance you'll hit me. This could be adjusted for size, where it's somewhat easier to hit a Wookiee, but very difficult to hit that Ewok clinging onto your leg. It's the rule modifications that I'm really uncertain of; what do you people think?
