Hello folks! I've come up with an idea for a shaman as a force user, and
have listed some idea's for new force powers they would have. I got the
idea from the  Mercedes Lackey Valdemar books, where regular "magic users"
find it extremely difficult to deal with shamans, just because they use the
"magic" forces so differently.

This is an incomplete, working list, so any comments, additions, changes
are welcome.


-Summon/converse with/control Spirits
        -difficulty depends on strength of spirit summoned
        -controlling is very difficult if shaman is in the astral plane(on
their                home turf)

-Summon familiar/totem animal
        - this determins the areas the shaman can affect the easiest -
ex-hawk would be air, farsight, etc.

-Personal avatar
        -this is the embodiment of a shamans power on the astral or
physical plane, but on the physical it's mainly used as a last effort. On
the astral it allows shaman to interact with the spirits in their own world

-Divination
        -speaks for itself- requires ritual preparation

-Lay on hands
        -force healing

-Control elements/weather
        -depends on totem animal
        -others can be affected, but only at great cost to physical and
force power

-Vision
        -this allows shaman to send a smoke-like projection-usually
something symbolic, over a physical distance
        -its usually used to send a message or a warning, but depending on
skill of shaman, it can do other tasks

-Read Aura
        -obviously sensing good or bad force
        -can be used to "read" a Vision

-Purify force
        -lets shaman cleanse a power/person/object
        -very difficult to heroic

-Empathy/telepathy
        -easy with totem animal and other shamans/force sensitives
        -difficult with others



Well there it is - sorry its so long, but I had a lot of ideas as I went along.
