I figured that I'd post the stats for my main character, Macavity.  Please
keep in mind that he has probably gone through 300+ CP's, and is the first
mate to Skitz, so his stats are justified, heh.

Name: Macavity (Family name: Jarred; True name: Mi'an)
Race: Human
Home World: Pandora VII [1]
Sex: Male
Age: 20
Hair: Blonde
Eyes: Blue
Height: 5'8"
Physical Description: Macavity is an average looking human male.  He has
average lengthed hair, and a piercing set of blue eyes.  He generally
wears clothing in keeping with his para-military occupation.  He also
wears a long red cloak, which has several pockets sewn into it, and also
serves to conceal his Vibrosword.  He wear a spring sheath on each arm,
and in each boot, each is loaded with a throwing knife.  He also carries a
force pike.  He also has two tatoos.  One on his back, of a tiger's face,
with a ghostly aura about it, on one on his right shoulder of a black cat,
ready to pounce.  Macavity is ambidexterous.

History: (Distilled as best as possible.  Story containing his history is
15 pages or so, and I didn't want to spam that badly)

Macavity hails from a world called Pandora VII.  The Empire lists it as
quarentined planet.  Macavity's people have been engaged in a genocidal
civil war for so long that the combatants don't really remember the reason
for it.  The society revolved around this war, breaking into three castes
within the two warring factions.  These castes were that of Warrior,
Healer, and Breeder.  The names should be self explanitory. Macavity was
of the Healer caste, and thus spent day after day, cauterizing, and doping
up warriors.  That and choosing who got to live, and who died; needless to
say, it was not a happy life.

People on his planet were given military rank by age.  The average person
was killed by the time they reached 20, so once someone reached 16 they
started getting privaleges (such as a day off here and there).  The
children are made part of the war machine at age ten.  Macavity is far
more mature, and has a much darker outlook on things, than someone his age
should.

His planet had what was called The Tradition of Names [2] (it is rumoured
that more used to exist, but they have been forgotten). The Healer caste
retained some of the knowledge of this, enough to give out names as they
were once given, long ago.  Because of this, Macavity has three names.
His "handle", which is what everyone knows him by.  His handle is,
obviously, Macavity.  He also has a "family name", which is what he would
be called by parents, close family friends, lovers, etc.  Macavity's
family name is "Jarred".  His final name is his "true name" which is a
name discovered during a period of meditation.  This name is only known by
the individual, and serves as a mantra.  Macavity's true name is Mi'an.

Macavity left his planet as a stow-a-way on a ship who was on planet to
sell arms.  He left after the med-tent he was working in got destroyed by
enemy fire.  Macavity, discusted with medicine, took up the life of a
thief.  It was during this period he aquired many of his weapons, and his
cloak.  He later met up with Skitz and joined the crew of the /Trigger
Happy/.

At some point in their adventures the /TR/ was destroyed, and the soon
aquired a Corellian Corvette, that they named the /Trigger's Revenge/.  He
took a brief haitus from the group to persue some more academic goals, but
soon got bored and returned to the crew, where he is 1st mate, and the
chief medical officer.

Note: Macavity's race succeded in their goal, the planet of Pandora VII is
dead.  All that lives there now is disease and various vermin.  If you
want a feel for it, picture a planet full of rotted corpses.  It's been
dead for about 2 or 3 years now.

Special Abilities: Macavity's race had the ability to enter a deep
meditative trance by using their true name.  When in this trance a slight
glow envelopes the person.  While in this trance they can heal at a
slightly higher rate, and can essentially only need to "sleep" for 4
hours.

Macavity can also (using his true name) place his hand on someone's head,
and transfer mental pictures to the person.  For this to work he must
touch, and the person must be willing.  This is generally used to teach,
or as to place an insomniac to sleep.

Item: SpringSheath

Availablitiy: Not normally available.
Description: The spring sheath is a standard weapon sheath that has been
modified, so that it has a spring mechanism in it.  By flexing an muscle a
certain way (in the case of the arms), or by stomping the boot (for the
boot sheaths) the blade will pop out into the person's hand.  The boot
sheaths, obviously, have a stronger spring.  The force is not enough to
launch the weapon for attack.  The effect of this is to allow the person
to draw the weapon without incuring a multiple action penalty.

Cost: Not for sale
Availability: Unique.
Description: Macavity's cloak is a standard long travelling cloak, that
has several pockets sewn into it.  These pockets allow him to easily stash
items he has stolen.  It has also be treated so that it helps absorb
energy attacks.  It grants him a +1D vs Energy, at no Dex penalty.  No
bonus for physical attacks.


[1]  Yeah, Pandora, as in Pandora's Box.  The seven deadly sins.

[2]  If you were thinking I was thinking of Cats (or _Old Possum's Book of
Practical Cats_ for you purists) when I came up with this idea, you'd be
right.
