OK, here's the next part...

There are 1,000 Space Marine chapters in the Imperium. Each chapter
contains 1,000 Space Marines plus officers, arranged as follows:

1 Chapter Commander
1 Terminator Captain
9 Marine Captains
1 Terminator Chaplain
9 Marine Chaplains
3 Terminator Librarians
27 Marine Librarians
10 Terminator Sergeants
90 Marine Sergeants
100 Terminators
900 Marines

For the purposes of our campaign, we used the Blood Angels chapter. 
Almost any chapter could be used with the same stats, except for
the Grey Knights[demon-hunters, far superior to other chapters]&
the Chaos Space Marine chapters[traitors to humanity whose names are
not spoken by right-thinking folk...:)]
Having just written this much, I now find I don't have time to 
actually post the stats before my site closes for the night, so I'll
have to do so on Monday morning. For the moment you can have the 
numbers & ranks to tantalise you...as if my Genestealer post hasn't
given you enough to work with for the moment...

Note to GMs : our GM ran 2 entire 8hr sessions with our original
Imperial PCs against the Space Hulk before the Blood Angels showed up!
