(BTW -- don't complain about the 3d+1 worth of skill dice put into starship gunnery for a beginning char. Oftentimes, I don't care about the rules ;P ) As usual, let me know what you think. have a nice day! _mcmike_ overbom@stolaf.edu protocol, eh? --------------------------------------------------------------- Name : Type : Talz Gunner Dexterity : 4D Blasters 6D, Dodge 5D, Firearms 5D, Vehicle Blasters 4D+2 Knowledge : 2D Mechanical: 2D+1 Starship Gunnery 6D Perception: 2D+2 Strength : 4D+2 Brawling 5D Technical : 1D+1 Move : 8 CPs : FPs : Equipment ---------------------------------------------------------- 1 Modified Blaster Rifle. "We could always shoot our way out..." "What do you mean, 'Man the Ion Cannon.'?" You were born and raised on Alzoc III, a desolate world far out in the fringe. It is a planet brutally subjugated by the Empire, but you didn't really mind. The Empire brought you your purpose; your main joy in life. The Empire brought you the joy of guns. Lately, that's become your purpose -- shooting things. It fills you with a warm glow inside; more than anything. More than your ex-girlfriend, more than sex, more than life. Your purpose is to shoot things. You were employed as a guard in the slave camps of Alzoc III, keeping other Talz in line. One day, you jumped aboard a undermanned transport and took it over... Armed with only a vintage six-shooter, you sent ten stormtroopers to the maker, and kept the two man crew under hostage until you dropped out of hyperspace. You then blasted the remaining crew to oblivion, and traded the ship in for some armaments... (note that the Blaster Pistol your only legal weapon) Since then, you've served as a gunner on a couple of pirate ships. The pay was good, and you got to use guns quite a bit, but not to their full potential; the Pirates got pretty mad when you destroyed target ships. What else is a laser cannon for? They also couldn't seem to fathom your hatred of ion cannons; which are abominations in your eyes. What's the point of having a gun that doesn't do real damage? Hmmph. Idiots... Additional notes: GMs may rule that the Talz are incapable of speaking basic, although most all will understand it. (There's no imperial that would lower themself to the level of speaking the Talz language, so as a rule, Talz learn to understand and/or speak Basic on Alzoc III) Also note that there is no such thing as a free Talz. All of the Talz are slaves of the Empire, unless a campaign is sometime post-ROTJ. For those of you that don't know, the furry four-eyed creature in the Cantina speaking with hammerhead (Momaw Nadon) was a Talz.
