To make the Z-95 more suited to ground attack its shielding and hull were improved at the cost of slower speed in space, and the sensor suite was downgraded because the Z-95C4d were mainly to work in atmosphere. Its blasters were supplemented by a nose-mounted heavy laser cannon for anti-vehicle work, and this version was soon nicknamed "the Warthog". Some still remain in service today as close air support crafts.
